Natural Bamboo
Standard Flooring Grade Descriptions
General Species Info

The Wood Flooring Exchange goes to great lengths to ensure the correct representation of our flooring grades. In North America, the National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA) sets the grading standards.

However, there are no such standards overseas, so many who label their flooring Clear grade are actually shipping Select and Better grade or worse. When comparing mills please pay close attention to each mill's notes on how each of these mills grade as well as how the region where they get their wood compares to other regions.

Below are detailed descriptions of the grades we find are most applicable to Natural Bamboo.

A Grade
The top grade, with uniform color throughout. Some mills divide this grade into a light and dark selection to provide a closer match. Pieces with too much variation are dropped into the "B" grade.
B Grade
Just a step below the A-grade, with more color variation throughout.
